ThinkingSpace Technologies
About Us

“We create exceptionally smart, disgustingly easy-to-use software which aims to solve painful everyday problems, get your work done your way and be a real pleasure to use at the same time.”

Why we do what we do
We love solving problems. We really do!
Being the complete technophiles that we are, we honestly believe that technology can be leveraged to solve traditional problems in a brand new way – making the lives of those affected – a lot easier.

Technology (even a little dash of it) applied in the right way can go a long way in making many things better for lots of people. We want to be guys who push forward and make this difference.

“Simplicity”
There are way too many software companies out there which stuff their products with so many features that they lose focus of why they were doing the product in the first place. End results are completely bloated software with the users utterly confused.

“We keep things dead simple.”

You have a problem that can be solved with technology?
Cool. Get in touch with us – and we'll solve it for you.

“Keeping the bloat away.”
Our software does exactly what it is supposed to - and nothing which it is not.
We put in a lot of effort writing software which is extremely easy to use - so that when users click on something, they know exactly what to expect.

“Clean, clutter free software which gets your work done on time, working hard so you don't have to.”

Who we are
We are a highly dedicated, driven bunch of guys who aim for nothing short of the best for themselves and their users.

ThinkingSpace Technologies was started in the summer of 2007 by three computer engineering graduates from the University of Pune. After having worked for a while in (traditional) software companies - they realised that things needed to change.

They needed a company where things were done in a smart, simple way. A place where they could change everything they knew that was wrong with (the way things worked in) the software companies.
And in this way, ThinkingSpace Technologies was born.

The Core Team
Saurabh Jain
Saurabh Jain
When he is not pushing for pixel perfect perfection in the user interface or writing code to make the pesky button behave itself, Saurabh is busy gathering business requirements and figuring out what new problem he can solve today.

Bursting with new ideas more often than not, he is responsible for coming up with features which go into the many products which we do at ThinkingSpace.

When he is not actually working, he is busy writing emails to clients, reading up on all the new UI frameworks or making coffee.

He is a computer engineering graduate from the University of Pune (MES College of Engineering) and was part of the two member Microsoft Imagine Cup team (the other being Gaurang) which represented India at the World Finals of the Software Design Invitational at Yokohama, Japan in 2005.

Gaurang Sinha
Gaurang Sinha
Gaurang is the guy in charge of all the (extreme) technical stuff that happens at ThinkingSpace. Name a new technology – and he can have a full working PoC (proof of concept) done before you can complete your sentence.

At work, he is in charge of shaping up the business logic and the middle tier which binds the back end to the user interface. He loves all things with the word “technology” associated with them and thrives on stuff like APIs, RFCs, Web services and the works.

When he is not hashing out the new object layer or tweaking the architecture, he is busy digg-ing for interesting articles and figuring out when and with whom he can go sailing or paragliding with.

Being a computer engineer graduate from the University of Pune (MES College of Engineering), he was also part of the two member team (along with Saurabh) which represented India at the World Finals of the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2005 in the Software Design Invitational.

Rishi Agarwal
Rishi Agarwal
Rishi loves databases and handles all the backend operations at ThinkingSpace. He has a bit of an optimisation mania – and when he is not busy tweaking the database to perform faster, he can be caught reading MySQL blogs learning new techniques to do the same.

Apart from the hardcore backend operations, he spends a lot of time researching and implementing processes for the software development lifecycles at ThinkingSpace and coming up with ways to work more productively.

The other thing Rishi loves to do is crunch numbers. When he is not working and optimising the databases, he will be busy analysing usage data on our products and finding out what are the features that are being used – and those which aren’t.

Rishi holds a degree in computer engineering from the University of Pune (MES College of Engineering).
